Seven nights at The Baya House with five coached surf lessons, two video analysis sessions, three beachfront movement classes, an ATV jungle day keeping the ATV for 24 hours, a horse riding tour along the beach and jungle trails, and five dinners under the stars.
This is the full week in our world. A small crew, a boutique jungle house two minutes from the sand, and days that shape themselves around the tides — surf when it's working, eat well, move, explore, and slow right down in between.
You'll surf with local coaches who grew up reading this coast, ride ATVs through jungle, mountains and rivers to waterfalls and hidden beaches, snorkel secret spots or ride horses along the beach depending on your week, stretch out in Sarah's classes on the sand, and sit down to long dinners cooked for the group. Drone footage and in-water photos come home with you.

Women only
Signature weeks are for women only — and they're about far more than surfing. It's a week built to feel safe and supported in the water and out of it: a chance to reconnect with yourself and meet like-minded women who often become friends for life. Sarah holds the space with real care, with our local crew — Isaac, the surf coaches, and everyone else who makes this week what it is — alongside you all week.

Coached surf, most mornings
Out in the water with local coaches who grew up reading this coast. Boards for every session, groups split by level.
Video analysis
Filmed in the water, watched back together. It's the fastest way to see what your body is actually doing.
Beachfront movement with Sarah
Classes on the sand with Sarah, timed around the surf so your shoulders keep up with the week.
ATV jungle day + horse riding
A full ATV day through jungle, mountains and rivers — waterfalls, hidden beaches, lunch on us, and the ATV yours for 24 hours — plus a horse riding tour along the beach and jungle trails on another day.
Dinners under the stars
Long family-style tables at The Baya, under the stars — traditional Costa Rican dinners and a chef-cooked closing night, with a cooking class on weeks that include one.
Drone and in-water photos
A drone session over the bay and in-water shots of you actually surfing — not posing — to take home.
We move with the rhythm of the tides and the swell, so no two days run the same way. This is the shape of it.
What to expect
A typical day
First light
Coffee and howler monkeys
The jungle wakes you before any alarm does. Breakfast, fruit, and a read of what the ocean is doing today.
Morning
Movement, then into the water
On class mornings Sarah runs a session on the sand before we go. Then boards in the truck, short drive to the best bank, and a coached surf with your group.
After the surf
Cold fruit and smoothies
Fruit waiting when you come in, smoothies after the movement session, and the usual argument about who got the wave of the morning.
Midday
The slow part
Nap by the pool, wander into town, find the tide pools, or do very little in the shade. Housekeeping has already dealt with your room.
Afternoon
Video review or a free surf
On review days we sit down and watch your footage back together, and talk through wave reading, currents and etiquette. Otherwise, paddle back out.
One full day
ATVs and a day in the saddle
The big adventure days of the week — ATVs through jungle, mountains and rivers to waterfalls and hidden beaches, lunch on us, and the ATV yours for 24 hours. Plus a horse riding tour along the beach and jungle trails on another day.
Evening
Dinner under the stars
Long family-style tables at The Baya, under the stars — a welcome dinner the night you land, a farewell at the end, and proper Costa Rican cooking in between. Two nights stay free, so you can go find your own spot in town.
How a surf day runs
Loose, on purpose
We run with the tides, the swell and the weather — the schedule bends so you get the best of the day. Exact timings are set each morning around the ocean, so this is a shape, not a timetable.

A boutique jungle hotel just across the road from the surf. Studios and apartments tucked around a shared pool, wrapped in tropical greenery, a short barefoot walk to the beach.

50% deposit locks it in
Half reserves your place. The balance is due 30 days before the trip. All prices are per person in USD, and payment plans are available on request.

Flights, ferries, transfers, packing, what to expect — we send you the pre-trip guide and keep planning in the same chat until you land.
We only run a handful of trips a year and keep every group small so it stays personal and fun. Rooms go to whoever messages first.

Payment & peace of mind
No surprises, ever
Exactly how booking works, what your money does, and what happens if life gets in the way.
50% deposit to reserve
Your deposit confirms your room and your spot on the trip. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the start date.
All prices per person, in USD
Every price you see covers one person for the whole trip. Payment plans are available on request — just ask us on WhatsApp and we'll set one up.
If the ocean doesn't cooperate
Surf and weather decide the order of our days, not whether they happen. If conditions shift, we move sessions and activities around — nothing is cancelled, the week just reshuffles.
Travel & surf insurance
Required for all guests. Make sure your policy covers surfing — we'll ask for the details before the trip starts.
You're talking to real people
Isaac, Sarah and Marylou run every trip themselves. The person answering your messages is the person meeting you at the beach.
Cancellation policy
Deposits are non-refundable
We're a small, locally run business and every booking holds a real room and a real place in a tiny group, so deposits can't be refunded.
Cancellations within 30 days
Cancellations made within 30 days of the trip start date are non-refundable, as accommodation, coaching and activities are already locked in for you.
Transfers are welcome
Can't make it? Your booking can be transferred to another guest, subject to our approval — message us and we'll sort it together.
